Shoot-out for promotion

THE idea of a season without promotion and relegation doesn’t sit right with me - it’s part and parcel of the competitiveness of the game.
Clubs thrive on that challenge of getting promoted and testing themselves at the next level, while those at the bottom should get relegated - it may help them regroup and make them more determined to do better for the next season.
For this interrupted campaign, may I suggest, to avoid fixture congestion, put just that there should be just one promotion spot up for grabs, settled by a one-off play-off final with semi-finals returning next seas...
