CHESTERFIELD can now count on added support from Brazil – thanks to a little help from a computer game.
Student Pedro de Castro, from São Paulo in Brazil, discovered the Spireites through FIFA 20.
“In the game you have the option to create a player and play as him throughout their career,” the 23-year-old said. “Chesterfield actually chose me and I accepted!
“Ater signing the contract with the club in-game, I started researching Chesterfield in real life. I wanted to know more about a club that I had never heard of.”
