PERHAPS if we ditched the words “Non League” then we might get better recognition from the powers that be?
Let’s face it, every club is in a league. By making our part of the pyramid a negative, do we do ourselves justice?
A Football League, from tiers three to eight with sponsors names and regional definitions attached. Why not? Or at least something similar?
It would certainly make the three-up, three-down argument more plausible that Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace reignited in last week’s NLP.
