FOOTBALL as we know it is disintegrating and as Huddersfield Town owner Phil Hodgkinson warned the pyramid is crumbling with as many as 60 clubs in danger of going bust.
Faced with this, two options are available. Either Paul Doswell’s view of voiding the season and considering how to survive, or as Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace advocates, keep ploughing on with the old plan for three promotions.
Steps 3-7 have had their seasons voided and they are at the back of the queue with all that’s on the agenda for the football authorities at the moment.
