HEDNESFORD TOWN have distanced themselves from former player James Hurst, who faces jail in Scotland after being convicted of coughing at police officers and telling them he had coronavirus.
The 28-year-old former West Brom defender admitted charges of acting in a threatening or abusive manner towards the officers during an incident in Glasgow’s Drumchapel in April.
The city’s Sheriff Court heard how Hurst had initially contacted the police claiming to be the victim of domestic abuse.
