AMBITIOUS businessman Alfie Best secured his seven-figure takeover of East Thurrock United - and immediately set his sights on the Football League.
The entrepreneur owner of Thurrock-based Wyldecrest Parks - Europe’s biggest static home parks company - is a big supporter of the local area.
Now 50-year-old Best, who features in the latest Sunday Times Rich List with a wealth of £340million, has major plans for the Isthmian Premier Division club, which include a new purpose-built community football stadium in the locality.
