KIDSGROVE Athletic manager Scott Dundas reckons he has struck gold with the defensive double swoop of former player Lewis Bergin and lynchpin Spencer Gunnell.
Bergin was a youth player at Port Vale and joined the Grove on loan in 2015 before signing permanently for the club a year later following his departure from Newcastle Town.
However, in November, the defender left Kidsgrove to join Congleton Town but is now back at Hollinwood Road for another crack at promotion from NPL Division One East, much to the delight of his boss.
