CLUBS WARNED OVER FANS RULE

WORRIED FA chiefs have urged Non-League clubs to respect the behindclosed- doors rules for friendly matches.
Last month it was announced that all pre-season games from Steps 1 to 6) would have to be played without spectators. However, there was a potential loophole for teams below that to host higher level opposition with fans present.
And the presence of supporters at games last weekend was enough to set alarm bells ringing at the FA as they work with the Government to try to get fans back into grounds for the forthcoming league season.
