WIDNES SIGN UP DEMPSEY

WIDNES have appointed Dave Dempsey as firstteam coach to work under joint managers Steve Akrigg and Kevin Towey.
The 32-year-old replaces Craig Davies, who left the Whites in July to up the managerial position at Prescot Cables.
Dempsey departed Atherton Collieries last month, where he was part of Brad Cooke’s coaching staff. He managed Ashton Town until December 2019, leaving the club in fourth in the North West Counties Division One North having guided the club to promotion from the Cheshire League in 2018.
