WHITLEY BAY ran out winners in this entertaining all-Northern League affair.
Bay were ahead after a minute when Adam Shanks cut in and found the far corner. An own goal doubled Whitley’s lead after a trialist hit the bar.
Two goals in four minutes just past the hour put the Seahorses in cruise control.
A prostrate Michael Colquhoun converted James Thompson’s cross and then Thompson made it four. The midfielder broke from near halfway to finish clinically.
