Big boys should help out more…

AN INTERESTING line in the sports minister’s letter referenced the work put in to get the Premier League played to a conclusion and the government’s insistence that money is used to “help the whole game”.
In the next breath, it mentions the £125m that comes down from the Premier League. While we don’t doubt there have been grants and small pots of money for Non-League clubs to access during this period, we know only a tiny per cent of that figure makes it to Non-League – and only as far as Step 2.
Now, more than ever, Non-League clubs need that help...
