CHAIRMAN Justin Hodgin vowed to review Walsall Wood’s security policy after police scythed through shutters with an angle grinder to break up an illegal clubhouse lock-in.
West Midlands Police released a video of officers cutting through after complaints the bar had been “secretly opening” at the Midland Football League club’s headquarters, flouting Covid-19 restrictions.
It made national headlines with a police statement suggesting those involved had turned off lights and music when they saw police arriving on the CCTV on previous visits.
