THE Northern Premier League promotion race is wide open and the key will be getting pre-season right, believes Lancaster City manager Mark Fell.
Steps 3 and 4 return on August 14 aiming to complete a season for the first time since 2019.
The Dolly Blues were in the play-off places when Covid struck before losing just once in their opening seven matches of the last short-lived campaign.
They look well-placed for another promotion push after retaining their squad and beginning pre-season last month to make sure they’re in top condition for the 2019- 20 Lancashire Cup final...
