Non-League duo ready to prove their worth after securing AFC Wimbledon move

AARON Cosgrave and Zaki Oualah are relishing the chance to show what they can do after being snapped up by AFC Wimbledon.

forward Cosgrave, 21, impressed in training with the Dons and has now been handed a deal by boss Mark Robinson, while goalkeeper Oualah, 26, has arrived from .

However, he is already well known to the League One club as he has been a training keeper with them for the past seven years.

Ex-Chelmsford and Welling striker Cosgrave said: “It's a great opportunity. I've been training with the club since the back end of last season and I've got to know all the boys, the staff and Robbo.

“They've been great and training has been great. I'm just delighted to finally put pen to paper.

“I'm quick, I like to get in behind and score goals.”

Oualah added: “Robbo said to me to come in and do as I have been doing – work hard on the training ground, but be a part of the team.

“I'm really thankful to him for giving me this opportunity and especially Ashley Bayes (goalkeeping coach) as well, who has been terrific with me and played a massive role in where I am today.”
