THE youngest manager in FA Cup history has parted company United Counties League outfit Blackstones after just three games in charge, none of them competitive.

Alfie Tate, now 21, set the record when he took charge of Pinchbeck United in their 4-0 extra preliminary round defeat by St Neots Town last September.

In June, he was given the top job at Stamford-based Division One side Blackstones after Mark Baines quit.

His first game in charge, a 9-0 defeat by Stamford in the Jeremy Biggs memorial match was followed by a 3-2 pre-season win at Burton Park Wanderers and then a 3-1 home defeat to Peterborough League Premier Division side Stamford Bels last weekend.

Tate has been replaced by former Huntingdon Town boss Ryan Hunnings.
