HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS have paid tribute to Life President and club legend Mick Gibson, who has passed away following a short illness.
‘Mr Heybridge’, Gibson, 79, leaves a lasting legacy at the Isthmian League club where he joined the committee aged just 14.
Hugely respected throughout football, he was also an Isthmian League director from 1995 until 2018, when he stepped down and was appointed a Life Member.
In 2016, Heybridge held a testimonial for him before unveiling the Mick Gibson Stand.
