■ BARNSTAPLE remain bottom of the league after a crushing defeat, a baptism of fire for young debutant Dominic Larter in goal.
A surprisingly quiet opening ended when Ben Brooks curled an effort into the corner of the net to give the visitors the lead.
They doubled the lead when Cam Duncan meeting a cross at the far post to head in.
Larter did well to save from Brooks, turning an effort around a post and saved low down from Duncan. Jones parried a Keates effort onto the post and Bello had an effort saved by Jones for Barnstaple.
