■ GRAYS went to West Street as league leaders hoping to extend their lead over Barking, who were without a league fixture.
Coggeshall’s Sam Bantick had a shot blocked and Grays’ Mitch Hahn was causing trouble in the Coggeshall defence with long throws.
Grays’ injured keeper Daniel Sambridge was substituted by Samuel Griek soon after.
A long ball down the Grays left wing found Anointed Chukwu and his cross found David Knight who scored with 38 minutes gone.
