BRIGHTLINGSEA were handed a lesson by mid-table Carshalton Athletic, Daniel Bennett grabbing a brace as the struggling Rs were hit for six.
Two minutes into a pulsating first half Carshalton’s Harry Ottaway hit the bar with a cross.
However it wasn’t long before the Robins took the lead when a nice passing move involving Daniel Hector and Bobby Price was finished off by a header from Bennett.
