WHITCHURCH staged a stirring fightback to book their place in the fourth round for the first time in their history.
The hosts started the better and could have opened the scoring inside the first minute as Chris Cowley fired wide with just the keeper to beat.
The Adders did make the breakthrough on 20 minutes when Brady Middleton tucked away the loose ball after his initial effort had been saved, while Alport’s best chance was a long-range strike from skipper Sean Griffiths.
