Sandgrounders shine through fog

SOUTHPORT progressed to the fourth round of the FA Trophy as they saw off a depleted Farsley side.
The COVID bug saw Farsley hand a first start to five players, four from their U23s side, and it was always going to be a tough task against their fellow National League North opponents.
With the game played in a heavy fog, both sides found it difficult to string any meaningful attacking moves together in the early stages.
