HUMP GETS THE AXE

FORMER Jamaican international Chris Humphrey has been sacked by Penrith after failing to keep them out of the Northern Division One relegation zone.
Humphrey, who played for Preston North End and Motherwell, took over Frenchfield Park last October after Dave Hewson stepped down.
He was appointed with the express mission of saving them from the drop, however, the Bonny Blues ended the season with back-to-back defeats, which left them second from bottom on goal difference.
The club has now invited applications for the vacancy.
