PAUL COOK lavished praise on his patchedup Chesterfield side after they overturned the formbook to knock out FC Halifax Town and keep their promotion dream alive.
The Spireites limped into the play-off places despite collecting just four points from a possible 18 in a dramatic end-of-season collapse.
An ever-growing injury list added to Cook’s problems but you wouldn’t have known it at The Shay on Tuesday night as the Spireites dug deep to put on a show for their 2,000 travelling supporters.
