JAMIE McGuire says the buzz for playing aged 38 is showing no signs of fizzling out just yet – but he jokes he still has to be the same “horrible” midfielder to keep up with the young pretenders.
Midfielder McGuire has signed up for NPL Division One East new boys Long Eaton United having joined at the back end of last season to lend his experience in their United Counties League Premier North title pursuit.
McGuire is also a coach in Mansfield Town’s academy and says getting out on the pitch is the perfect release.
