Mac bids to follow in Vardy footsteps

Notts County hitman Macaulay Langstaff says he wants to be the next Jamie Vardy after scooping the Our Game Player of the Year award.
Signed from Gateshead for a fee of £50,000 in the summer, Langstaff scored 42 times to shatter Tom Keetley’s club-record tally of 39 goals in a season, which had stood for 92 years.
Also smashed was Ricky Miller’s record of 40 goals in a National League season, and the 26-year-old Tynesider capped it all with promotion to the EFL after the Magpies beat Chesterfield in the play-off final Wembley.
