BASILDON took the points from this Essex derby despite conceding an early goal when Matt Price converted from the penalty spot in the ninth minute after he had been brought down.
The pacey Basildon attack caused the home defence problems, but the Blues could have been further ahead with George Marsh saving from Price and Sam Deering before the visitors were level through a penalty scored by Kai Brown.
Samir Ali’s fine finish put the Bees ahead before half time and Brown made it 3-1 in the 61st minute.
