DONS STAR JOHNSON AT THE DOUBLE FOR BERKO

LEWIS JOHNSON scored a brace on his debut as Southern League Premier Central side Berkhamsted overcame a tricky challenge from Eastbourne United.
The U’s were playing their first game at this level of the competition for 36 years.
They started brightly, though their attacks not really troubling the Berko defence.
The visitors picked up the pace and in the 19th minute they took the lead, when Johnson, signed from MK Dons, scored, from close range after James Broadbent saved from Conor Toomey.
