BASFORD UNITED’s winless run to the season continued after a 1-0 defeat against neighbours Ilkeston Town at Greenwich Avenue, a result ultimately costing manager Steve Kittrick his job.
Zak Goodson struck against his former club just after the hour mark and a club statement confirming Kittrick’s departure followed the full-time whistle.
United have since confirmed assistant Luke Potter will take interim charge effective immediately, alongside coach Richard Lawrence.
