CROSS COMES IN

SOHAM Town Rangers have appointed Alex Cross as their new manager.
The former academy director at King’s Lynn Town, Cross acted as the Linnets’ interim manager earlier this season.
He has also coached in the youth set-ups at Cambridge United, Notts County and Boston United, and was academy manager at Bradford Park Avenue and assistant boss at Stamford.
At Soham, he replaces Brett Whaley, who was appointed in May but last month stepped down along with his assistant Bruno Porfirio after overseeing just three wins in their opening 14 league games.
