GATE FIRMLY CLOSED ON VICTORY AS WILKS STARS

BILLERICAY Town kept in the play-off places with a 3-1 win as hosts Margate had chances but found goalkeeper Dan Wilks in fine form.
The visitors took an early lead when Bradley Stevenson latched onto a through-ball and slotted home after just eight minutes.
The home side nearly got back into the game when Sam Blackman got his head to a Ben Greenhalgh cross but it went just over the crossbar.
Steve Cawley then saw his flick pushed onto the post by Wilks and then his powerful shot superbly saved by the visitors’ stopper.
