Johnny Goddard signs for Wood

Johnny Goddard

Johnny Goddard has completed a move from Slough Town to Boreham Wood.

The attacking midfielder is the first signing from Ross Jenkins for the side relegated to National League South last season.

Goddard scored 20 in all competitions last season for the Rebels. Having joined them in 2022 from St Albans City, he notched 26 goals in 96 outings.

His form under Scott Davies earned him a first England C call-up since 2016, where he played alongside current Boreham Wood goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore and captain Jack Payne.

Goddard has also represented Swindon Town and Stevenage.
