REVEALED: National League Step 1 & 2 fixtures

Tamworth’s return to National League’s top flight begins with a home date against relegated Sutton United.

The Lambs who the National League North title last season to secure back-to-back promotions and book their place at Step 1 for the first time since 2014.

Relegated Forest Green Rovers are on the road to Aldershot Town, while beaten play-off finalists Solihull Moors are away to AFC Fylde.

Moors dumped Barnet out in the play-off semi-final back in May but Dean Brennan’s Bees have made some impressive signings this summer. They begin at FC Halifax Town.

Altrincham will look to build on their play-off finish last term and welcome Woking on the opening day.

Isuzu FA Trophy winners Gateshead host Ebbsfeet United, Maidenhead United welcome Eastleigh and Southend United begin at home to York City.

National League fixtures

National League North

Last year’s runners-up Scunthorpe United host Promotion Finalists Brackley Town in a mouthwatering opening day clash.

Brackley finished third last term, three points behind the Iron, who have appointed Andy Butler as manager this summer.

Marine’s first National League North game is home to Oxford City, who were relegated from Step 1 last term.

Fellow promoted side Radcliffe also open on their own patch, they’ll face Scarborough Athletic.

Last year’s Southern Premier Central champions Needham Market travel to Curzon Ashton on day one with Leamington’s return to the divisions starting at Buxton.

Kidderminster Harriers, also back at this level after a one-season absence, in their case following relegation, start at Darlington.

South Shields just missed out on the play-offs last term. They begin at Hereford.

Much-changed Rushall Olympic host Farsley Celtic. Both finished a couple of points clear of relegation last term.

King’s Lynn Town pulled away from the drop in the second half of last season. They open at home to Warrington Town who adjusted well to National League North.

Elsewhere Peterborough Sports host Chorley and Spennymoor Town face Chester.

National League North fixtures

National League South

Truro City’s first game at their new stadium will be against a Dorking Wanderers side relegated from the National League.

John Askey’s side return to Cornwall after three-and-a-half years of sharing with Plymouth Parkway and Gloucester City.

They begin against a Dorking team back in Step 2 after two seasons in the National League.

Fellow relegated side Boreham Wood host Bath City, who lost in the play-offs last season.

The match will be Ross Jenkins’ first in charge after he was announced as Luke Garrard’s successor two months ago.

All four promoted sides are away on day one.

Enfield Town’s first ever match in National League South will be away to Torquay United, now managed by Paul Wotton.

Chesham United will make their NLS bow at Eastbourne Borough while Hornchurch travel to Hampton & Richmond Borough, another side under new management with Alan Julian replacing Mel Gwinnett.

Salisbury are at Hemel Hempstead Town, who have made 17 new signings to date under Bobby Wilkinson.

Last year’s losing play-off finalists Worthing open at Weston-super-Mare.

David Noble begins his second stint in charge of St Albans with a home match against Maidstone United, who are expected to challenge again.

Welling United host last season’s surprise package Aveley, Chippenham Town open at home to Farnborough and Slough Town begin against last term’s runners-up Chelmsford City.

Tonbridge Angels begin by hosting Weymouth.
