HORSHAM came out on top in the big East Sussex derby. A goal in each half through Charlie Hester-Cook and James Hammond secured a deserved victory for the Hornets.
The defeat knocked the high-flying Rooks down to third place while the Hornets moved up two places to eighth position with several games in hand over most of their opponents.
Early nerves were settled when Charlie Hester-Cook popped up in the penalty box to coolly finish from close range in the fourth minute.
