NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST

■ LEAGUE leaders Silsden AFC withstood a dramatic fightback to record three important points in their Northern Counties East title quest.
Silsden welcomed play-off hopefuls Handsworth and the hosts led at half-time through Luke Brooksbank. He added a second before Jake Maltby and Casey Stewart goals gave the league leaders a 4-0lead with nine minutes remaining.
However, Handsworth showed remarkable spirit with Brandon Bagley pulling a goal back two minutes from time and Scott Ruthven and Ben Harriott making it 4-3.
