GATE’S BIG BREAK-IN

FORENSIC evidence is being examined by police after two masked burglars wrecked Midland League Premier Division side Highgate United’s clubhouse.
The raid at the ground in Shirley, Solihull, was captured on CCTV and took place an hour after the clubhouse closed following a birthday party.
It was believed the burglars were looking for cash, but instead took bottles of spirits from the bar and a card machine, while causing thousands of pounds of damage after wrecking a sliding front door and a cellar entrance.
