UNITED Counties Premier North side Newark & Sherwood United have unveiled plans for a new £1.5 million stadium.
The Highwaymen were based at the Lowfields Ground in Balderton from 1901 to 2021, when the land was sold for development, and are now groundsharing with local rivals Harrowby United.
However, plans for the new ‘green’ venue have now been revealed, comprising of 66 re-purposed shipping containers making up enclosed stands with balconies overlooking the 3G pitch, changing rooms and facilities.
