CHICHESTER inflicted a first home defeat in nearly a year on Billericay.
A slow start for the Blues saw the visitors nearly grab the initiative early on. Jimmy Wild proved to be one of the main threats in the final third and he went close on seven minutes.
Nonetheless, it was the leaders who broke the deadlock ten minutes later. A defensive error from Ryan Davidson enabled Jay Porter to put the ball on a plate for Femi Akinwande to easily dispatch into an empty net.
