■REDCAR Athletic will be officially crowned champions next Saturday after a 24th-minute Cameron Gascoigne own goal saw them beat Blyth Town 1-0in front of a jubilant 740-strong crowd.
Redcar are three points ahead of Shildon with a +30-goal difference, Shildon ran out 3-0winners over Birtley Town as Adam Lennox fired home a second-half brace.
Dan Lanning and Michael Ndewini goals early in each half, followed by Paul Van Vanduliet’s header saw Newcastle Blue Star claim a play-off spot with a 3-0victory of their own against Crook Town.
