MACC’S MERRY MEN ARE NAMED

A HANDFUL of players from NPL Premier champions Macclesfield have been chosen in the division’s Team of the Season.
Robbie Savage’s Silkmen stormed to glory at Step 3. They notched up 109 points, finishing 26 points clear of runners-up Worksop Town.
That runaway success has been reflected in managers’ votes for the season’s best XI with goalkeeper Max Dearnley being selected alongside teammates Neil Kengni, Laurent Mendy, Luke Duffy and NGA-winning striker Danny Elliott.
