CHATHAM secured all three points at Parkside with a late double salvo – a long-range goal of the season contender from Ben Allen and a tap-in by Stanley Oldfield after a defensive error.
This was the first league meeting of Aveley and Chatham in ten seasons.
The Millers had chances in the first half, with Tobi Tinubu’s shot deflected by Alex Giles into Henry Molyneux’s hands.
Then Alejandro Machado seemed certain to score after a set-up by Rowan Liburd and Suley Zuhdu, but Kasim Aidoo blocked it on its way towards goal...
