■ WITTON Albion picked up their first win of the season with an impressive away victory over Stalybridge Celtic.
The visitors started the game well and went ahead when Tom Hoyle slotted past Charlie Monks after being put through on goal.
It was the perfect start to the second half as Freddy Garbutt doubled Witton’s lead after being picked out inside the box by Geffry Ebhote.
The home side fought back and saw Benni Smales- Braithwaite pull one back after 51 minutes, reacting first to a rebound in the box.
