MALDON & Tiptree’s 81st-minute goal continued their perfect start and ensured Takeley’s wait for a first win at Step 4 goes on.
Both teams had chances in a goalless first half, the closest being a Takeley effort that hit the crossbar.
A minute after Elliot Justham had denied Takeley in a one-on-one, Maldon took a 54th-minute lead with a penalty.
Ace marksman Freddie Sears converted the spot-kick, his fifth goal of the season, confidently sending Jarvis Monk the wrong way with a low right-footed shot....
