The lights are out on Hawks’ victory bid

WHITEHAWK were on course for derby day victory before a floodlight failure saw their game with Lewes abandoned at The McLaren Enclosed Ground.
Hawks looked to get on the front foot from the off, with Andrew Briggs and then Joel Daly forcing saves from Louis Rogers.
Nathan Cooper then had a header saved by the Lewes keeper after the defender met Briggs’ corner.
As the game approached the break, Destiny Ojo cut the ball across to Harry Lodovica, but he curled his effort over the bar.
However, Hawks got the lead their first half effort...
