BURGESS HILL kicked off the new year with a deserved home win over neighbours Lewes, extending the superb record Hill have over them, only losing once since 1997.
A crowd of 1,148 packed into Leylands Park and they didn’t wait long for the opening goal.
Lewes gave the ball away cheaply and Hill punished, Luke Gambin spread the ball out wide right to Stefan Vukoje, who beat his man and fired a cross into the box, former Rook Ben Pope flicked it past his defender and then poked the ball into the bottom corner to once again score against...
