JAKE McCarthy’s hat-trick for Sholing proved all in vain as Havant & Waterlooville snatched a winner deep into added time in a seven-goal thriller.
And it was former Sholing player George Milner-Smith who sparked delirium at Westleigh Park.
Sholing took an early lead as McCarthy’s deflected effort wrong-footed Lorenz Ferdinand to nestle in the bottom corner.
