BORO HOLD OFF SPENNY’S RALLY

RADCLIFFE held off a late fightback to claim an impressive win at Spennymoor Town and underline their National League North play-off credentials.
Rio Clegg scored twice and the influential Michael Afuye was also on target as rampant Radcliffe raced into a three-goal lead before half time.
The visitors were the better side during the opening stages and got their reward just before the half-hour mark when Afuye was brought down and Clegg calmly tucked away their opener from the penalty spot.
