IT was heartbreak for Eastbourne who spent 80 minutes holding on to a 1-0 lead only to be struck down by three goals in the dying minutes.
Alfie Rogers put the visitors ahead after just eight minutes, his shot from outside the box seeming to deceive the goalkeeper and nestle into the bottom corner.
Croydon had a good chance to draw level when David Bremang got through but the goalkeeper did well.
The second half was all Croydon but Eastbourne appeared they would hold on.
