Proud chairman Mark Stupple says he’ll be taking no notice of AFC Stoneham’s favourites’ tag to lift the Vase trophy at Wembley – even though it does show how far the club has come.
The Hampshire club are comfortably the highest-ranked team left in the Vase semi-final line-up, sitting nine points clear at the top of the Wessex Premier Division table.
In contrast, semi-final opponents Hallen are third bottom of the Hellenic League but Stupple insists league form goes completely out of the window when it comes to making history at Wembley.
