AFC Fylde overtook South Shields at the top of the National League North last weekend and are now four points clear following the midweek action.

In the National League South, Dorking Wanderers extended their lead at the summit to eight points after a 4-2 win on the road at Enfield, while Torquay United have appointed Alan Ball’s son, Jimmy Ball, as their new manager from AFC Totton.

It’s shaping up to be a three-horse race for the title in the Northern Premier League, with Hebburn Town, Hednesford Town and FC United of Manchester separated by just one point, and in the NPL East Division, Redcar Athletic seemingly have one hand on the trophy after recording their 28th league win of the season, taking them 17 points clear above Matlock Town in second.
