CHARGED MALDON OWNERS STAY IN CUSTODY

MALDON & Tiptree owners Barrie and Scott Drewitt-Barlow have been charged with multiple offences, including rape, sexual assault and modern slavery trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The duo appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Friday following an investigation by Essex Police.
Defence barrister Oliver Snodin said the pair “strenuously denied” the allegations. They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 5.
